Returns, Warranty, and Storage

Returns

We make an effort to ensure that our products are inspected prior to delivery, and thus items received in good condition are non-refundable. If an item is delivered to you in an unsatisfactory condition, please call our showroom at 6473-1693 before signing the delivery order.

If you find an issue with the product after delivery, contact us at info@journeyeast.com within 7 days with the following information:

  • Original receipt
  • Name of defective item
  • Your name
  • Address
  • Telephone number

Exchanges

It is important that your Journey East purchases fit your home, and if for any reason you feel you wish to make a change, contact us at info@journeyeast.com within 7 days with the following information:

  • Original receipt
  • Name of item (must be in original condition)
  • Your name
  • Address
  • Telephone number

Please note that, unless you provide your own transport, exchanges are subject to delivery charges. Once you get in touch, our team will advise on the process accordingly.

Purchases should be exchanged for another item of equal or greater value (top-up required). If you choose an item of lesser value, we will be unable to refund the difference.

Warranty

We source the globe and choose only reputable brands and manufacturers to work with, and offer limited warranty on structural integrity and functionality in the following durations:

For commercial use:
1 year on solid wood/metal furniture items
6 months on upholstered components

For residential use:
2 years on solid wood/metal furniture items
1 year on upholstered components

For all other items:
6 months warranty on structural integrity and functionality

Exceptions

We are unable to provide returns or exchanges on upholstered accessories and soft furnishings (e.g. cushions, fabric accessories). Warranty will also not apply to items that have been misused or damaged as a result of negligence. Items sold under promotional conditions are not eligible.

Complimentary Furniture Storage

If you are not yet ready to take delivery, we will be able to hold on to your furniture for a maximum of 2 months from the purchase date. For indent and custom orders, we offer complimentary storage for a maximum of 2 months after the item has arrived in Singapore.

Thereafter, warehousing will be charged at a monthly rate of 5% of the retail price per item. We can offer warehousing up to a maximum of 6 months. Journey East reserves the right to forfeit the sale without refund in the event of undelivered items.
